Timeless Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita:
A Devotee’s Perspective
The Bhagavad Gita is one of my most favorite books. It is not just a book but a source of
inspiration and a guide on how to live a meaningful life as taught by Lord Shree Krishna. This
timeless scripture, written by Veda Vyasa, also known as Krishna Dvaipayana, oers
solutions to every problem, no matter how big or complex. Many people believe that
whenever you face a problem or are in a tough situation, you can simply close your eyes,
open the Gita randomly, and read the first line on the right-hand side. That single line often
provides the solution or guidance you need.
Before reading the Bhagavad Gita, it is a universal practice to chant the mantra:
“Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama
Rama Hare Hare.”
I have personally experienced immense positivity and good changes in my life since I started
reading the Gita. The experience becomes even more profound when one wholeheartedly
believes in Shree Krishna and becomes his devotee.
Krishna’s life, story, and teachings are incomplete without Radha Rani. She is the eternal
truth of Krishna’s life and existence. The bond between Radha and Krishna is magical and
divine. When we pray and say “Radhe Krishna,” it brings immense peace and joy. Radha and
Krishna are said to be one soul in two dierent bodies. They came to earth during the
Dwaparyuga to teach humanity about love, devotion, and compassion.
The Bhagavad Gita contains the most important lessons that Krishna imparted to Arjuna
during the Mahabharata. Among these teachings, the foremost is to perform your duties
(karmas) selflessly without attachment to the results, as the outcomes are in the hands of
Shree Krishna.
In conclusion, I believe that everyone should read the Bhagavad Gita at least once in their
lifetime. More importantly, it should become a lifelong companion, as its wisdom can guide
us in every aspect of our lives. Our lives should be dedicated to Shree Krishna and his
teachings.
Jai Shree Krishna! Radhe Radhe!
