Students and readers looking for inspiration and encouragement will find this book very helpful. The Inspiring Thoughts has been written by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The book was first published in 2007, and since then has been very popular amongst readers of all ages. Most readers find this book very thought-provoking as it urges them to dream for a better tomorrow. It helps in boosting the morale and also in improving the decision-making ability of the reader. The book subtly pushes the reader to think out of the box, and of the welfare of the society and world, and not of personal gains. The author encourages the reader to think of the betterment of the nation by taking the right steps in the present. Kalam had a strong belief that it is the children of a country who are responsible for shaping its future. In this book, too, he tries his best, through his writings and quotations, to motivate the young readers to believe in the nation, and take charge to build a glorious future for one and all. The book can also be read by those who have failed and faced rejection in life. The personal quotations make an interesting read for anybody, and the simple language touches the chords at many levels. The book has probing questions that make the reader question his purpose in this world. The simple language and honest writing manages to hold the attention of the reader. The book has been published by Rajpaland Sons in 2007.

“Dreams transform into thoughts: This is such a beautiful quote by Abdul Kalam about dreams. Ever since I read his book Wings of Fire, I’ve fallen in love with his thoughts about dreams. These quotes are usually followed by their powerful companions-perseverance and hard work. As we talk about Kalam’s quote — dreams transform into thoughts and actions, let’s try to explore the meaning of this quote and its relevance in today’s world.

His other quotes on dreams such as — You have to dream before your dreams can come true, dream is not which you get while sleeping are powerful reminders of how much these dreams meant to him. These quotes are prominent even to this day and continue to inspire us to dream, think and make these into realities.

Dreams transform into thoughts and result in action
A dream is almost like an itch that doesn’t get satisfied no matter how much you scratch. It constantly keeps pestering you. These dreams haunt you and urge you to do something about them, such as the power of these dreams, because they they’re waiting to be transformed into actions. There’s a small step before they transformed into actions. It’s these thoughts. These are the thoughts which make us dream about what it means for our reality. And dreams always come to us in very amorphous manner.

They’re never clear. They only give you an indication of what they might look like and whether their results are something that you enjoy. But what makes these dreams come true are the thoughts that go behind them. Once you have these thoughts, hold on to them, nurture them and build them. Then comes the next step.

Dreams are perhaps the most precious things you’ll feel for. They have a message underneath trying to tell you to do something. The best thing you can do about these dreams is to listen and understand what they are trying to tell you.

Not all dreams demand an action straight away. But they deserve thought and respect to analyse what they mean. If you have a dream — let it cherish. Don’t imprison it with thoughts of practicality. Let the dreams spread their wings wide and explore the possibilities.”
