This is a book which has been published by Sri Ramkrishna Math, Chennai. The math is well known for their informatory books. This book contains information about Indian culture and traditions. This book doesn’t only talk about the religions in India but along with that it also describes daily practices along with base or reasons for them. This is very important for us to learn about India and our roots. The book is having subjects like The Rangoli, Lighting the lamp, Prasada and even Indian Languages too. These are the core Indian cultural subjects which are closely rooted with society.
Along with these the topics like Indian Clothing, Yoga, Ayurveda, why we should not disrespect the food are also covered in this book, which are not core but co-related topics of Indian Culture. Unless knowing about Indian Phylosophy, learning about Indian Culture can not get complete. Topics like Vedic Culture, Culinary Traditions, do through the light on Indian Phylosophy.
