This compelling biography give us insightful details about Subhash Chandra Bose also known as “Netaji”.And throws light on his legendary life and his mysterious death in air plane crash (in Taiwan) 1945.
The book covers the major events of Bose life from his childhood, schooling and passing the most prestigious exam Indian Civil Services (ICS) with fourth rank in 1920 and his involvement in Indian National Congress as president and eventually formation of Indian National Army (INA) also called Azad Hind Fauj.

The central theme of book revolves around the sprit of patriotism and selfless dedication and pursuit complete independence and it inspires readers to dream big and stand up for what they believe in. Author Anu Kumar succeeds in capturing Bose’s complex personality, his deep patriotism and his remarkable bravery. And I personally admire some of his iconic expressions like ” Chalo Dilli” , ” freedom is not given, it is taken ” and ” it is blood alone that can pay the price of freedom” The book is written in a clear and descriptive style and the authors ability to simplify complex historical events is a major strength and somewhere it lacks depth for readers wanting detailed analysis. Overall, “ As I reflect on this remarkable journey I can confidently say that this book is not just inspirational but a guide to living with purpose and passion” And I highly recommend this book to students, history enthusiast and anyone interested in India’ s freedom struggle.
