This particular book is an exemplary masterpiece of the author – Mr Chetan Bhagat. The book is about the two youngsters – Krish and Ananya, breeding from two different cross cultures, sourcing from 2 different contradicting poles of the country, the North pole – Punjab and the Southern pole – Chennai.
These two characters – Krish and Ananya met for first time in the B-school, the world class management college i.e., IIMA, further their introduction climbed the ladder of the friendship with the prefix of Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and later as lovebirds at the end of their academic tenure. At the end of their studious tenure and the commencement of their professional kick, they were ready with the definite plans of intercaste marriage, and utterly seeking for the tricky consent and the thorny approval of their parents.
The author in this particular book ‘Two States’ has depicted different scenes and situations about Krish and Ananya: the initial introductory journey as the two strangers in the class, further as friends with the loving prefixes of boy and girl upto getting the license of married couple from not only the cross culture customs and traditions but also from their conventional orthodox respective parents.
The writer with his specialized skills has represented every aspect of the legend in such a lifelike manner, so that the reader gets completely mesmerised and involved in the scene, as such as carried forward with the scene. Sometimes the words are so expressive and verbal, the reader instantly possesses a hair raising feeling as if he/she is a primary observer to the same. The text of the book makes the reader curious and a bit addictive to know what happens the next.
Thus, the book is a must read book and with a strong desire once again.
